BodyTel is a German based company that specializes in telemedical monitoring and management systems for chronic diseases, particularly diabetes. We combine our knowledge in telecommunications, internet and medical technology to create new products and services for the changing needs of global health.
Not treated properly, chronic diseases like diabetes can cause serious problems such as kidney failure, lower limb amputations, blindness, heart disease, strokes and nerve damage. Proper monitoring and immediate and accurate patient data is key in managing the condition and preventing further complications that could be costly to managed care plans.

BodyTel is the first and only telehealth company that has created a comprehensive monitoring and management system for chronic conditions. Our goal is to provide patients, e.g. authorized healthcare professionals, caregivers or family members with the most accurate data available.
The BodyTel system is a completely new approach to effective patient treatment that consists of several components used together in an integrated process. These components are Bluetooth wireless technology enabled meters (blood glucose meter, blood pressure device, weight scales), a Java application for Bluetooth wireless technology and internet enabled cell phones and a secure online database, with graphing and archiving capabilities.
