About us
CAS Medical Systems, Inc. (CASMED) is dedicated to the design and manufacture of innovative, non-invasive technologies and products vital to patient care in the most challenging clinical environments. With a reputation for the highest quality products available in the markets it serves, CASMED products are used by clinicians worldwide.
CASMED manufactures and distributes blood pressure (NIBP) modules, vital signs monitors and accessories. Monitor parameters include NIBP, SpO2, temperature, ECG, respiration and EtCO2 in a small portable device. Other products include fetal monitors, ICG monitors, cerebral oximetry monitors, neonatal accessories and electrodes.
The CASMED Difference
A small, efficient and entrepreneurial company, CASMED has grown steadily since its inception, reaching sales of $35 million in 2006. This remarkable track record is the result of sound business strategies and the dedication of our exceptional staff.
CASMED’s growth strategy begins with research. We foster an atmosphere of creativity that enables our engineers, technicians and product management staff to develop products that improve patient outcomes. For example, our newest product – the FORE-SIGHT™ Cerebral Oximeter – was developed to measure absolute oxygen saturation levels in the brain, and promises to lead to major advances in non-invasive diagnoses and individualized patient care.
Through research, product development and product acquisition, we continuously expand our business and our ability to serve our customers.
Background
CASMED was founded in response to the medical community’s expressed need for a device that could obtain fast, accurate blood pressure readings in newborns. In 1974, CASMED introduced the first blood pressure cuff designed specifically to meet the challenges of neonatal monitoring. In 1984, the company established its headquarters in Branford, CT, and officially incorporated as CAS Medical Systems, Inc. Through the years, our product offerings continued to evolve and expand, always focused on areas vital to patient care.
Our Philosophy
CASMED is committed to meeting the needs of our customers and their patients, while continuing to build a dynamic, profitable enterprise. Every one of us at CASMED –whether in engineering, accounting, production or any other area – is committed to the highest standards of innovation, quality, service and performance. We simply will not settle for less.
