CON-TREX is the brand name of equipment manufactured by CMV AG for human performance assessment. CMV AG is based in Duebendorf, next to Zurich / Switzerland, an area famous for its tradition in design and manufacturing of high performance mechanical equipment.
CMV AG was founded in 1994 as joint venture of 3 companies, one specialised in machine and robotics design, the other in high performance motion control for medical and industrial applications and the third in high precision mechanics. All partners had already gained experience in the field of human performance assessment equipment in common development projects that started in 1994.
CMV AG – Experts in Engineering
CON-TREX biomechanical test and training systems is one product range of CMV AG.
Our second field is industrial OEM engineering services. From our wide and long experience, we have been doing engineering and production planning for various customers since a long time.
A recent project has been a joint venture of three companies to develop and produce base frames for x-ray scanners to check passenger’s luggage at airports.

CMV AG – Certified to produce Medical Devices
On July 2004, CMV AG was confirmed by notified body SWISS TS TECHNICAL SERVICES AG to have established and to apply a Quality Management System for development, manufacturing and distribution of CON-TREX Biomechanical Test and Training Systems. Requirements according to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003 are fulfilled.
Recertification in July 2007.
Also CMV AG was confirmed by THE CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT BODY of SWISS TS TECHNICAL SERVICES AG that the requirements according to Annex II.3 of Council Directive 93/42/EEC concerning medical devices are fulfilled.
