Since its foundation, Cosmos Corporation has been supporting conformity assessment services for electric components and appliances for domestic and international standard.We can provide our client’s products with our state-of-the-art safety assessment including visual inspection, product-testings, EMC measurement, and ISO 9001 & 14001 certification.Notably, we have been providing product assessment and supporting work for applications of approvals of domestic and overseas product safety standards with our client as a main pillar of our services.
COSMOS was certified as 1st authorized laboratory in Japan under TBM of NEMKO, Norway in 1992.In September 1998, COSMOS was approved as CB laboratory under CB scheme of IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) in the categories of: IEC60065, Household Electronic Apparatus and IEC 60950: Information Technology Equipment.Currently, COSMOS has a capacity to apply an electric product to applications for safety standards in more than 36 countries, such as: USA; Canada; China; Korea; Argentine; Australia; Russia; East and North-European countries, etc. at the same time.
In Japan, COSMOS was registered as the first authorized testing laboratory under Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law (: Denan-Law) in June 2001.Since the enforcement of Denan-Law, numbers of Certificate of Compliance has been issued to numerous manufactures in Japan with the support offered by COSMOS.
COSMOS also started calibration service under the authorization system of calibration laboratory based on Measurement Law in Japan in May 2004.In the same year of September, Ohnoki Testing Laboratory, which is our second-laboratory and capable of testings for EMC safety was completed.
Furthermore, in September 2004, COSMOS was authorized as certification body for the medical equipment assigned to the control by Ministry of Medical and Health in Japan, and started the service of certification for medical equipment.
