World market for diagnostic antigens and antibodies should be estimated as €500 mln/year, or 1,000 grams/year of product. At present Epitec is focused on projects to commercialize a new synthetic diagnostic antigens and monoepitope diagnostic antibodies. The research part of these projects is funded by the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE).
Investment about €600,000 is essential for successful commercialization of the products. Expected results of the projects: synthetic antigen/antibody output – 20 grams/year, gross profit is expected to be €10 mln annually.
