The Fraunhofer-Institute for Laser Technology ILT
The Fraunhofer-Institute for Laser Technology ILT is in its specific field a worldwide recognized research institute. The activities comprise development of novel laser beam sources and components, advancement of laser measurement techniques and improvement of laser-supported manufacturing. The department for micro-technology concentrates on micro-joining techniques for metals and polymers. Laser welding of “transparent” plastic materials, joining of metal and plastics parts together and the sealing of micro-fluidic components.
