The LOGMED Technology company was founded on July 26th 2004 by three partner. The company is located in Germany – 06188 Landsberg / Halle (S.), Brehnaer Str. 6.
Aim of the company
The company is the operator of a treatment facility for specific waste (medical waste, airline catering, etc.) and producer of synthetic diesel oil followed by an energy generation. The commercialisation of diesel oil as well as the generated energy will be done with cooperation-partners. The company will be part of an innovative logistics system for hygienic dispose of contaminated waste under consideration of closed material circles and optimisation of material utilization.
The plant for generating synthetic diesel oil is at the time at the stage of laboratory operation and is to be developed for industrial skills and a continuous production process by LOGMED Technology GmbH. The required partnerships with know how and scientific institutions exist already.
The disposal of contaminated and infectious waste from all areas is subject of strict regulations and laws. The now used way of disposal as a result from that is very cost intensive and requires high efforts. In the normal case it means that products, made off high quality materials, from health services or hospitals have to be disposed by incineration or on dump yards. This has to be done under consideration of the dangerous goods regulation road GGVS (German law). Due to law regulations after 1.2005 the disposal of these products on dump yards is prohibited and the need of less cost treatments and alternatives to process these products into other usable materials higher than ever.
That is the point the LOGMED concept is situated.
The business areas of LOGMED Technology GmbH contain the use of the following Technologies:
1. Logmed® – Technology
The patented technology processes problematic waste in one operation so that they turn into waste without special characteristics, by a reduction of less then 20% of the volume. The high contribution of synthetics makes this waste good for incineration facilities.
2. Logfood® – Technology
Uses the basic concept of LOGMED Technology and is variable for catering-waste-treatment.
This technology was successfully proofed at Leipzig/Halle Airport by treating catering-waste.
3. Logmed®+PLUS+ – Technology
It uses the technologies under 1. and 2. and adds a facility for a catalytic, pressure less oiling process (KDV) to process synthetic oil. This means that out of former infectious waste oil is produced. For that the high contribution of synthetic material from both types of waste has a high meaning for economic results and large gain for the use of a KDV.
The processed materials from 1. and 2. can also be treated without the KDV. They can be disposed and stored on dump yards until 2005, but after that they have to be incinerated. The professed aim of LOGMED Technology GmbH is the processing into synthetic oil.
