About us
MEDIX started its activities in 1972, focusing business in developing, manufacturing and selling neonatology equipment. This branch of medicine involves newborns care and treatment (especially premature babies).
MEDIX also markets several imported products for neonatal, pediatric and adult intensive care, anesthesia, home care, and transport/emergency.
In all cases the Corporation guarantees all products it sells (locally manufactured or imported), maintaining a permanent technical service within our country and abroad.
That is why more than thirty countries in America, Europe and Asia receive MEDIX products supported by an organization that includes professionals, technicians and specialized personnel.
Company organization
In order to achieve it¹s different activities: manufacturing, sales, imports, exports and service, MEDIX has a staff of 80 persons, including professionals, technicians and personnel specialized in the different areas: Sales, Engineering, Production, Service and Administration.
Production area has a high level of integration with the following divisions:
Mechanics processing
Acrylic processing
Electronic assembly
Final assembly
With the above mentioned integration level and a wide list of external suppliers, MEDIX has achieved a suitable flexibility and reply to demand’s variations.
Existing machinery inventory is of the universal type and suitable for fulfilling present needs.
The present monthly production, without special orders, is of 80 units and this quantity is reached with 45 workers.
The models we manufacture has different complexity levels and, in accordance with their use they may be classified in the following groups:
Infant warmers: For intensive care. They allow the simultaneous use of several instruments and infirmary personnel.
Closed circuit incubators: climatic cabin, isolated from air environment.
Transport incubators: for infant transport in different vehicles such as ambulances, planes and intra-hospital.
Phototherapy Systems: for the treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia and jaundice
