By adopting innovations that are fundamentally different from conventional approaches, we have succeeded in developing the world’s first “High Frequency Osciillatory Mechanical Ventilator” for use with premature infants. In 1985, this device was recognized and selected by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to be used in the first clinical trial of its type in the US. This technology has made it possible to save the lives of thousands of very premature infants who, in the past, would have been unlikely to survive. As a result, the Metran name has become well known throughout the medical community.
In addition, we are making the best use of our direct links with Vietnam by producing electronic automotive components and parts, as well as, work in the garment industry specializing in women’s lingerie, in Vietnam for exportation to Japan. We have further plans for joint venture with other Japanese companies in a variety of fields, furthering our position in the manufacture of electronic parts and expansion into chemical manufacturing and technologies.
As we embark in the 21st century, it is becoming a borderless world in the era of globalization, marked by the development of advanced networked webs of information. A variety of new concepts and innovative enterprises-including those we consider to be “fabless” enterprises-continue to take form and grow.
We also plan to take a further bold step into this new era, as we consider addressing the development of health care products for home through intensive care use by expaning our recent product lines, in mechanical ventilators and respiratory equipment. In contrast to other companies, we are aiming to develop products based on our own technologies, while looking to expand our overseas sales and joint development projects with influential companies and skilled individuals working in the medical field.
Additionally to our Vietnam connection, in our goal to bring Metran’s technology all over the world, recently Metran has being establishing our network of exclusive distributors. Metran’s new partners are all very well known companies in countries like: India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, and Mexico. Metran also has made arrangements for selling our equipments in OEM basis domestically and internationally.
