1971 Babcock und Bosch Transport- und Lagersysteme GmbH set up by combining divisions from Robert Bosch GmbH (Electronic control of Warehousing and Transport Systems), Babcock (Germany) and Wilcox AG. Headquarters in Stuttgart (later Schwieberdingen)
1974 Becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Babcock and is renamed Babcock Transport- und Lagersysteme GmbH
1979/80 Sold to Pohlig-Heckel-Bleichert AG and renamed PHB Transport- und Lagersysteme GmbH
1990 Sold to NOELL GmbH and renamed NOELL GmbH (Schwieberdingen)
1993/94 Acquisition of Autonome Roboter GmbH (Hamburg) and SCHOELLER Transportautomation GmbH (Herzogenrath) by NOELL GmbH (production facilities in Hamburg and Herzogenrath retained)

Business activities:
We develop and supply efficient, high-performance material flow systems, configured mainly from standard components, that offer an excellent return on investment. Our systems can be customized for any of a wide range of tasks in virtually any industrial sector. We deliver and install them anywhere in the world.
We apply our resources and expertise to develop, design and build fully automated transport systems, mobile transport systems and system components (OEM products). We have the skills and resources to handle anything from single elements or sub-units to major projects. All our products – from individual vehicle controllers and navigation systems to the overall guidance and control systems are proprietary products.
