About us
Silicone Altimex Limited was established in 1976 to manufacture silicone rubber components for the UK’s domestic appliance market. Since that time, Silicone Altimex has evolved and extended its capabilities making it the company that exists today. Although still supplying key components to the white goods and industrial market, our principal manufacturing activities have seen us become a leading supplier to medical, pharmaceutical and high technology companies worldwide.
From our origins, almost 30 years ago, our continued reputation for quality is second to none. Today, quality is still the focus of our business; an area we continually strive to improve. Whether implementing new processes or installing the latest technology, we never take quality for granted.
Our first Cleanroom was installed in 1979 to manufacture tubing and moulded components for the medical market. We have seen this expand over the years and now includes an assembly and test area for finished goods. We installed a second Class 10,000 Cleanroom in 1997 to exclusively manufacture platinum addition cured products; predominantly for our bio pharmaceutical customers. This has further developed to encompass other safety critical components for the aerospace and electronics market, where product cleanliness is required.
Through our experience gained in manufacturing critical components for medical and pharmaceutical applications, we have been able to move in to other areas that require a critical manufacturing environment.
