TACTYS has designed a range of perfectly smooth tempered glass tactile keyboards, which are easy to disinfect and can even be used with gloves.
The TACTYS keyboard is connected to the PC and used like a conventional keyboard. Based on tried and tested technology, it has been developed with the help of public health nurses working in operating suites and managerial staff from the CLIN (French Centre for Nosocomial Infections).
In France today, nosocomial infections (infections contracted inside a health establishment) are becoming increasingly widespread, with some 800,000 people being contaminated
every year. In the hospital environment, computer keyboards handled by more than one person are breeding grounds for a host of germs, which nestle down between the keys and are very difficult to remove.
